After a terrible weekend with lots of problems I had to make a hard decision what I will tell you later in a next blog.
Now I want to scream it laud that I received some new swim caps which is normally not a big thingy but these are sent by my coach during the multisport event The Junior Olympics.
My coach will be Brett Hawke, and yes I am so proud on it but it make me also a little nervous as I do not want to disappoint him. I will swim together with the swimmers of TST Barracudas from California.
Brett Geoffrey Hawke (born 2 June 1975) is a former competitive swimmer who represented Australia at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics. He was the head coach of the Auburn Tigers swimming and diving team of Auburn University in the United States until March 2018.
For much of his career, Brett Hawke was regarded as the top sprinter in Australia. He is a five-time Australian national champion and former Australian record-holder in the 50-metre freestyle (22.07), which he set in the semifinals of the 2004 Summer Olympics. Brett Hawke retired from competitive swimming after the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, where he won the bronze in the 50-metre freestyle and a silver medal as a member of the second-place Australian team in the 4x100-metre freestyle relay. Hawke finished his career with seven international medals.
Sprinting distances in LC or SC are my favourite. Love the 50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle and hope to learn a lot in the US during my adventure in Houston. Who knows that I can study in the US and can be so good that I will preform my skills at the Olympics. I am ready to do a lot to become who I want to be, a fast swimmer.
There are also some things were I am scared of, the 100m and 200m distances, than I got an irritating puppet on my shoulder who screams that I am a bad swimmer and can not made it. This puppet I want to loose to be free and race, I am sure also this will be solved soon. I have to find trust!!
I love swimming and sprinting more
